Just back from a long weekend at wharfedale, a wonderful experience. We got a very warm welcome from the (ScouseAfrican) wardens, who were helpful and friendly to all throughout our stay. (We got to see them working a great deal as our pitch was near the reception, right by the dog walk which was perfect for us.). As mentioned in other reviews many pitches are sloping so take blocks, but they are a good size and the site has a spacious feel to it. Threshfield and Grassington are within easy walking distance, plus there are enjoyable walks along the river Wharf down to Linton and Burnsall. Further north there’s a 5 minute drive to Kilnsey, and the Tennant arms pub, which is superb. This site and the staff are a credit to the Caravan & Motorhome club, spotlessly clean, quiet, relaxed and an absolute tonic. We’ll be back, hopefully on pitch 116 again, and thanks to all we met and chatted with, was lovely to meet you all!
