Been here several times and a good spot for touring the lakes. School holidays but not many children in residence so still reasonably  quiet. The most noticeable aspect of our week was the untidiness and weed growth on the pitches. On the pitch next to us a pile of thistles and weeds had been pulled up and placed in a pile and there they stayed  from Tuesday to Sunday . In all the time I was there no warden was seen at our part of the site - 103- 113 as there are no service points or bins so I guess no need to drive around and it showed. Toilets as clean as usual standards. No dog or children issues at all....but the staff need to raise their game.
