My wife and I plus the dogs stayed here for 24 nights fabulous views in fact we’ve got 2 nights left on our first visit to this site. Follow the club directions to the site do not use any other route or sat nav directions! The pitch choice is a little different you speak to the wardens who tell you the available pitch numbers your given a pot to place on the pitch you choose before driving to it and setting up. At 0900 the following day you can return to the wardens and ask what pitches will become available that day if you want you can ask for another pot to book that pitch which you can move to after the current residents have departed. This is what we and a few others did to get a better view. The wardens could not be more welcoming or helpful. The site can windy so we decided against bringing our awning but plenty did and didn’t have any problems. The coastal path is yards from the site with walks to Boscastle or Tintagel you can return by bus which runs every 2 hours or you can visit either by bus which stops outside the entrance . We aren’t fit in our 60s I’m 68 and barely made it to Boscastle it was a hot day and took us nearly 3 hrs we got the bus back inc the dogs with no issues (Tintagel is harder and we didn’t walk all the way there). The facilities are kept clean and tidy and the nearest shops about 2 miles away. The Boscastle farm shop and restaurant are well worth a visit. Plenty of places to visit but try as much as possible to stick to main roads our sat nav took us on short cuts down lanes not wide enough for the car and few if any passing places. Going to the Seal Sanctuary I had to reverse uphill around 3 bends to let 2 lorries pass all good fun. We had a great stay and hope to return soon.
