We booked a one-night stopover on the way back from Penzance without much consideration apart from it being half way home. After a night's stay we would have loved to have lingered much longer! Had it not been for the need to get home, and forecast thunderstorms, we would have certainly added extra nights. The location is wonderful, and even though the site was quite full there was a choice of pitches with wonderful sea views (even though the exposed pitches got rather windy during storm Ali). The staff were very helpful lending us the bus timetable - although the buses are a little infrequent and we easily walked to Boscastle and back before the bus made it. We had no complaints at all about the facilities - we were close to the main block, which was spotless and had everything we wanted. We have a rule about not going back to sites a second time, but that rule may just get broken in this case. PS I only scored a 4 on Good for Families because it's a mandatory field, although we didn't bring a family and wanted a quiet site without children, so didn't know what score to give. I imagine in the school holidays it would be great for children, which is one reason for us to avoid at that time of year!
