Peaceful and Quiet

We've just returned from here having arrived on the Sunday after lockdown was released. Arrival was OK but not terribly smooth, this might be understandable however it was all new to us too. The views wherever you go are outstanding and the coastal walks wonderful, Boscastle being longer but with less climbs, whereas Tintagel includes steep descents and climbs but is shorter and arguably more attractive. Locally there are places to eat though menus are limited, still there are always pasties and cream teas !! Nearest beach we found for surf etc. where you were OK tide wise was Widemouth Bay, plenty of parking available, big beach so no crowding, lifeguards present. Nearest supermarket is at Wadebridge. Cheapest garage was a BP on the A39 going towards Wadebridge. I agree with other comments re the new on site rules re Coronavirus. Standing around waiting to use the toilet when the 'allowed' 3 were in the showers seems barmy given that they are well apart within the block. Keeping open the 2 Unisex Service WC's would have been very helpful too and why this wasn't done I find hard to understand. Likewise removing the cubicle toilet brushes ?? I was told that this was because we need to touch them ..... we needed to touch doors and taps too but they remained in place thankfully. I just think that people should be allowed a degree of common sense and if they don't know how important it is to wash their hands now, then they never will. Overall though a cracking site.
