Good for families

Location, location, location

Having wanted to stay on this site for some time now, we found ourselves in the lucky position to spend three nights at Trewethett Farm a short while ago. I cannot comment on the suitability for families, so scored 3, but can only believe this would depend on individual family preferences. In my opinion, this site is all about its remarkable location, situated on a cliff top between Tintagel and Boscastle boasting breathtaking views, especially at sunset, and the proximity to the stunning coastal path, and therefore will appeal greatly to those who wish to spend their holiday walking, or simply taking in the views. There are three specific points I would like to make: 1) The Wardens deserve medals. Not only are they cheerfully helpful, they must spend all of the time they are not undertaking their normal duties of cleaning, maintaining and booking in, trying to help move people onto different pitches. 2) Mobile food van. We were there on a Wednesday night when they provide all the normal chippy food, and also pizzas. We had fish 'n' chips and they were excellent. Word of warning, the portions were huge, we will share chips the next time. 3) By mere virtue of the sites location, all pitches are good, some more level than others etc, its just that some are unbelievably good. we decided to remain on the pitch that was available to us on our arrival, we had decent views, and to not spend our time there worrying about relocating. We witnessed some people going to extraordinary lengths to get a better view, including the removal (and hiding) of a disabled marker for a pitch, presumably to justify claiming this pitch (which had a great view), when perhaps not being eligible.
