Fantastic Site
In echoing what others have previously posted we have only one word for this site “Spectacular”
Having recently become CC Members this is the first actual site of the organisation that we have booked and to be fair I would say wholeheartedly this is the best campsite we have ever been to for Adults.
The additional instructions with the issued map are spot on and if you are visiting I would stick to them like glue as there are certainly some lane you do not want to be going down with your unit.
On arrival we were cheerfully greeted by one of the Wardens Tom who was very helpful, asked me to choose which pitch we wanted, we choose pitch 38, Tom then even helped us spin our caravan around to front facing so we could make the most of the simply stunning views.
In regards to the views, amazingly breath-taking, we sat for hours taking it in during rain and shine, they truly have to be witnessed to be appreciated, we have been to many places in North Cornwall and our view took some beating, simply stunning, especially if you get a favourable sunset.
Amenities were Tip Top and I’ve got to say the toilet block was the cleanest, warmest, most pleasant we have ever had the pleasure to use, the piped music was a nice touch apart from playing Silent Night on one occasion in October!!?? We found there always plentiful hot water and everything was simply spotless and clean, furthermore, it’s the little things that make a difference, for instance, the site had installed flyscreen’s on all the opening windows of the toilet block, some might think this is a bit OTT but I can really see how this makes a difference to the user friendliness of the amenities, it was the first time I seen this done and thought what a great idea, well done to the site!!
Taking into account the above, please be assured I am most certainly not marking the park down for these items but I feel it has to be brought up. Firstly, if I had young children I would not be coming to this site, although there were children on site with Parents the park offers nothing for young ones, no park or play area etc. so you find kids being kids and zooming around on scooters and bikes which did not bother us in the slightest but I could see a few people getting a bit tetchy so to speak, also, with close proximity of some quite high cliffs I’m not sure I would be happy letting them wander off for an explore. Secondly, WIFI, the CC have a scheme in place whereby you pay £2.50 for 24 hours, £10.00 for a week and £25.00 for a year, this all sound like good value but I think CC are missing a trick. We have toured France and Spain extensively and found particularly in France just about every campsite has free WIFI, granted, you may have to watch an advert or sign up to a campsite newsletter etc. (Which you can always “Block Sender” when you receive the first bit of spam, then again you may actually want to receive news from that particular campsite) but it was on the whole free to use, I’m sure the CC could
