We've just finished a 6 night stay at the site with family in another caravan and I did read all reviews first. The site itself is immaculate, couldn't fault it everything smart pitches great and toilets etc you wont find better. Wardens lovely and helpful. Lets be honest, this is not a quiet site regarding road noise, its 24/7 and the 'background noise is the M4 at 3am so the description is very misleading the road right alongside the site is very noisy all the time. If your cycling be careful of the directions as they are misleading, Don't go out the front of the site by the roundabout and find cycle route 4 ( which runs out the front ) but go to the rear of the large car park and find the gate then cycle route 4 which takes you the correct way. But if cycling is your thing its a grim ride to be frank , lots of rubbish in lots of places and not an enjoyable ride. The grounds of the house are vast and very nice . The locked gates at 4pm is a different thing but easily opened and gives that extra security. The toilet block cleaning times i can see has caused a bit of a problem , we were aware of it and worked around it but i understand the comments. We did the Pit visit it was great and put bikes in car to Swansea which is a lovely place especially cycling. For us it wont be a return visit to Tredegar I'm afraid.
