Lovely location
Stayed at Tredegar House for 6 nights and enjoyed our stay. Site is well laid out, with generous sized pitches. Being in the park is great, especially for dog owners, as the park is huge with pretty lakes. Tredegar House, although currently undergoing extensive refurbishment and repairs, is lovely. The only drawbacks are
1) children constantly riding bikes and scooters round the site at speed, down the hill, often against the flow of the traffic. An accident waiting to happen
2) the tatty look of the toilet/shower block which is obviously over due for an upgrade. The Wardens keep the block immaculately clean, which is a credit to them, but in the ladies there was a broken hot water tap on the hand basin, so only cold tap was in use. One out of order toilet for the whole of our stay. And where various hand dryers have been replaced, the screw marks and lack of "making good" by repainting looks bad, and also in this area a missing ceiling tile. Hopefully the refurb will happen very soon, but well done to the Wardens.
