Handy for Cardiff, Newport, and National trust

Stopped in late July for a 3 night break found the wardens to be great and very helpful. Sited alongside Tredegar House with its large National Trust parkland and house found this to be pleasant place to stay, however Newport / Welsh coastal path from the site is not to be recommended for the light hearted ie traffic, rubbish dump, and dockland areas. Newport transporter bridge is worth investigating as is the nearby National Trust house and gardens at Dyffryn. Site can be a little bit cramped when full but all in all well worth a visit.
