Great news - we’ve improved our popular Tredegar House Country Park Club Campsite. The site fully reopened on 23 September 2024. Find out more details on the exciting redevelopment plans at camc.com/redevelopments.
Tredegar House Country Park Club Campsite is ideally located within a mile of the M4 motorway and only 12 miles from Cardiff. Complementing the house superbly is the Country Park itself, boasting a 17th century orangery, gardens, woodland and adventure playground open throughout the year. The 7-acre campsite boasts an exquisite ornamental lake and offers 79 generously sized pitches. Take the opportunity to visit Tredegar House - often described as one of the architectural wonders of Wales, and recognised as one of the most significant 17th century houses in the whole of the British Isles. The house is open between February and December.
Within convenient distance of Tredegar House Country Park Club Campsite is the beautiful city of Cardiff, with its medieval castle, National Museum, Bay Development and vast shopping centre. Close to the campsite, you can visit the restored Transporter Bridge, Pwll Mawr (Big Pit mining museum) and the lovely Wye Valley. The bus stop is about a 25 minute walk from site and the service is frequent and good value, allowing you to conveniently explore the local area without the need for a car. A favourite of visitors is a trip to the small village of Ystradfellte, approximately 1 hour away, where a 5 mile walk can be undertaken to the four waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons - well worth the effort to witness these stunning falls.

Very pleasant site which is well maintained by the wardens and right next to the National Trust country house and extensive grounds, which are fantastic to wander around. There is a bit of road noise but nothing obtrusive. Others have mentioned about the roads in the way to the... Show more

We were there twice this year. At the start and at the end of our jouney to south wales. The direction from the M4 is a little tricky and a complicated junction and roundaboaut after leave the M4. Nice lovely side. A visite of the House ist worth.

First time at the refurbished site. Directions from the M4 as mentioned by others need to be clearer as tricky to follow and can lead to you rejoining M4. Site well looked after by friendly wardens. There were people in front of our pitch however who made no effort to... Show more

We only stayed one night, but will return for a longer stay next time. It's very handy off the M4, but take it slowly as there is a very complicated junction and the signs are not obvious! Once into Tredegar Park itself the drive has a couple of turns which... Show more

We have been members since 2018 but only visited one of our nearest sites this last weekend. The site is spotless, as are the facilities. Lovely site. A bit of road noise but not too bothersome. Great parkland to walk dogs. The instructions to site need updating! We came along M4 from the West and due to a new roundabout layout with traffic lights we ended going back up M4! Then on way... Show more
