Dog Tired

We stayed at the Tredegar County Park site over the recent bank holiday, our first on a CMC site. We were joined by our son and our young grandsons who had their own camper. A nice site, well spread out and a great team looking after everyone's needs.  Sadly, for us it was the number of dogs and particularly their owners that put a dampener on the weekend due to the incessant barking from some quarters and the number of people that allowed or walked their animals onto vacant grass pitches to urinate etc. One of these pitches being next to my son's camper. One gentleman walked his 3 dogs individually late at night to this particular pitch obviously to avoid using proper location. Had he brought a fourth dog I would have confronted him but all the same not acceptable in my book or, I believe, the club rules. This appears to be an ever increasing issue with camp sites far and wide. I do not dislike dogs just their inconsiderate owners. Not sure how this can improve apart from confining all dog owners to one area, which I accept is highly unlikely.

How refreshing to find another member voicing concerns/issues with dogs and owners

I am not against dogs but their often ignorant selfish owners who clearly believe that yapping fouling animals is acceptable.

2 dogs max per unit, segregation to pitches next to dog walking area. Strong wardens enforcing the flouted rules

Dog free sites - pie in the sky - but more discipline please

It seems that the club should be re-named Carava, Motorhome and indulgent dog owners club
