Another great week at one of our favourite sites

We had a great week at the end of June with beautiful weather to enjoy sitting amongst the trees relaxing. Location of this site is really good for stop overs or as we enjoy visits back to Wales.Very handy for the park and ride to Cardiff, Barry and Porthcawl good days out, as well as St Fagan -outdoor museum which is free entry. Nearby is Rogerstone 14 Locks Centre (NP10 9GN) great for walking or as we done took our bikes in the car there and then cycled North to Pontywain, lovely scenery along the way and a great cafe at the centre when you come back. You can ride up to there if you are fitter than us. Site wardens very friendly and keep the site very clean and tidy. Toilet s are clean but will be better after the makeover at the end of the season when it will be 5*. We met some really friendly people on the site including bumping into a couple we had met earlier in the year at another site, what a coincidence! especially as we hadn't planned a week there this year until last minute family event. Tredegar House and gardens are lovely surrounding and it is great for walking around and trying to spot the Heron in the lake at entrance. A great site to visit and we look forward to seeing the new developments next year.
