Stayed a Tredegar a few times in the past but first time with our Motorhome. Use it as a base for the Speedway Grand Prix at the Millenium Stadium. Bus stops within walking distance of site and takes us right into Cardiff and on a family day return pass at just £5 can't go wrong. Site is in a lovely and peaceful setting and very clean. The reason for posting review is unfortunately we broke down en route to site only half an hour away from Tredegar and were left stranded for 3 hours on the motorway with 2 kids thanks to our breakdown cover providers. Rang site to cancel our booking as initally told we would have to be towed home but after many calls backwards and forwards we were able to get to site and despite cancelling our original booking the staff were so very helpful and very accommodating. Even though the office was closed the wardens kept the phone with them so that we were able to stay in close contact with them. They put us onto a pitch which made access easier for drop off by the recovery vehicle on the Friday night and pick up again by much larger recovery truck on Sunday. It was such a relief to arrive at the site and we were greeted with friendly faces which perked us up no end. The staff were very understanding and we were in no way rushed off the site on Sunday morning. Really cannot thank the staff at Tredegar enough for their help and patience over the weekend - you are all a credit to the Caravan Club!!
