Good relaxing holiday

Stayed in June for two and a half weeks.  Good pitch near toilets, opposite dog walk.  Loved watching all the different breeds of dogs taking owners for their walks.  Most of the owners well behaved and cleaned up after their dogs but some just let their dog out of the 'vans to let them urinate and more wherever also some were allowed to run loose, especially in grass area near dog walk.   Must say usually small dogs. It really isn't fair to those dogs and owners who comply with the rules. The site is very peaceful and facilities lovely and clean.  The wardens couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, especially in finding us a suitable pitch, as I have a disability and cannot cope with the steep hills.  If you have any problems walking, etc, you do need your car as site is quite a long way from any transport. We had a barbecue while we were there.  My husband had bought himself an enormous rib-eye steak and I had a sirloin.  He came in the caravan for something and when he went out he shouted "The steak has been 'nicked off the bbq'"  Looking to see where it had got to, our neighbour asked if we had lost a steak and said he had seen a seagull with a massive steak and it had eaten the whole thing!!  Don't know how it managed to carry it. We hadn't been bothered by gulls on site at all so don't leave your bbq unattended.  An expensive meal for a seagull. Television was excellent but there is definitely no 'phone reception.  Very good site with exceptional wardens.
