Dangerous Out Of Control Dogs
Visited this site last week. It is in an excellent location for exploring Cornwall. Most of the grass pitches are very slopey. There was no WiFi all week and there is no mobile phone signal on site. Approach to the site is along a small single track road, so arriving after 12 is a must to avoid vans leaving. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case as every day vans were queuing to get into the site from about 9.30 and were allowed in. Excellent site for dog walks although the dog walk itself was filthy due to inconsiderate dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs, there is no shortage of dog poo bins on site. Some people could do with lessons in how to be a responsible dog owner before they even think about getting a dog. I was walking my dog to the dog walk, on lead, and he was attacked by an extremely large black/white Newfoundland/Cross, this dog along with 2 others ran out of an awning and from behind jumped on my dogs back, had its teeth round my dogs neck and shook him, my dog isn’t a small dog but had he been, this dog would have killed him. The owner struggled to get his dog back. This attack was completely unprovoked and cost us £150 vet bill and caused us to have to leave a day early. These people had 3 dangerous dogs wandering loose. The people pitched at the side of us also had a dog wandering loose although this one wasn’t any bother to anybody. Reported this incident to the Warden but never heard anything back from them. Improvements are certainly needed on this site.
Comment from the Club:
We are so sorry you had a bad experience on a Club Site. The Staff on Site were aware of the incident that took place and did indeed speak with the owners directly and dealt with the situation appropriately.
