A wonderful stay
This was my first ever trip in my campervan so I was quite nervous about what to do. I needn’t have worried. I was met by a very nice lady who explained everything to me. She suggested a secluded pitch in a glade. I parked up as directed and managed to put my new awning up by myself!
I had my small dog with me, so was mindful about disturbing people, but I quickly noticed that most people had their dogs with them. He took to camping like a duck to water, which helped me relax.
There are some lovely walks through the woods that you access via gates on the site. It was a great opportunity to meet fellow campers on the early morning walks.
Being Thetford Forest, there were sometimes when the peace and quiet was interrupted by military aircraft overhead, but this didn’t bother me one bit.
The lack of a toilet block wasn’t a problem either - I was prepared!
It was a brilliant short break away. I will definitely return.
