Forest setting

This site is very easy to find, just look out for the flag poles and tank at entrance to the old Desert Rats training ground. There is a marked route around the now demolished camp with sign boards at each turn. With its proximity to the road the site is very quiet and lack of toilets (which we do not mind) does make it even more peaceful. It unusually now for a CC site have plenty of grass pitches some in sheltered bays and some more open as you drive in on the left. One word of caution these grass pitches do have a small kerb about 3" high if you do reverse on just make sure your jockey wheel does not foul,it's only minor but I noticed it and another van jockey wheel caught it. There are plenty of hard standings and for a wooded site most pitched do get a fair share of sun. Now with the closure of Mildenhall this site could become more popular and excellent value for money away from the peak periods. Another point if you have a caravan is the site road leads to a dead end meaning a reverse is needed if you go too far.
