Fab location for the North York Moors
Perfect location for exploring the moors. Extremely peaceful.
There's a great disused railway track to walk/cycle around the whole of the valley (8.5 miles), you just have to get up to it .. a very steep ascent in places, but well worth the views.
There's only one pub in the village (The Coach House Inn), directly opposite the site, worth booking gin advance if you want to eat. A small, but friendly village shop. Pickering is 10 miles away for bigger food shops.
No facilities on site, but the pitches are beautifully maintained.
