A pleasant half mile walk from this Derbyshire campsite will lead you to the welcoming local village pub where you can relax with a pint and a hearty meal. For steam enthusiasts, The Midland Railway Centre at Butterley is not to be missed. Other nearby places of interest includes the historic town of Belper and pretty village of Matlock Bath, along with Nottingham just a 40 minute drive away.

View and BookPlease only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not sat nav, due to unsuitable roads for towing. From North: leave the M1 at junction 28 onto A38 dual carriageway (signposted Derby). In 5.75 miles turn onto A610 (signposted Ambergate); in about 3 miles at T-junction turn left onto A6 (signposted Belper). Within 3 miles at Morrison's roudnabout in Belper turn and return onto A6 (signposted A6 Matlock); in about 1 mile turn right into Broadholme Lane (signposted Nether Heage); in about 1 mile at T-junction turn left into Crich Lane. The site is on the left in 500 yards. From South: leave M1 at junction 24 onto A50. In about 11 miles turn onto A38 (signposted Derby); in about 5 miles turn left onto A6 (signposted Matlock); continue on the A6 through Belper; at A517 junction bear right on the A6, then as above.

We were just passing through on our way further north. We were very pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the location. The picnic tables were a good place to have morning coffee and to soak in the scenery. Very relaxing and clean campsite. Friendly staff too.
