Super site

Supremely well-maintained with very friendly and helpful wardens.  Hard-standing pitches have very large and level gravelled areas.  Some road noise from adjacent road, but this is generally quiet at night.  May not suit everyone as there's no play area and the dog walking area is small.  No immediate access to footpaths - you need to walk alongside the road for a while before you get to any.  If you like cycling you need to be very fit, or take your machines elsewhere - surrounding roads are very hilly.  That's all the caveats done - it's a marvellous site and strongly recommended if you want to tour this part of Derbyshire.  We spent 2 weeks here first half of October and would've happily spent another 2.  Tips: walking leaflets from reception (50p in support of air ambulance); 'The Loaf' in Crich for artisan bread; 'Fresh Basil' in Belper for coffee and cake.
