Stayed in this beautiful area last week. it's a lovely location with villages and pubs in walking distance and plenty of paths for walks / runs from the site. it is on a hill however so great views but you can't go far without encountering a slope! The wardens Les and Angie were lovely and the large toilet block immaculate. The site is safe for kids but there is no on site play area. In Heage there is a play area with skate ramps, swings, slide etc and the skittle alley and beer garden at the Spanker Inn is also good for school age kids. There is plenty to do in the wider area. Gullivers Kingdom at Matlock Bath is slightly scruffy but a great day out for the whole family, For an extra £5 / head we recommend the Nerf Zone! Our 7 year old also really enjoyed the Lost City indoor mini golf in Nottingham.
