Stayed at The Firs for my first trip out this weekend (16-18 September). I was naturally apprehensive about towing my newly acquired caravan, but it was easy to find and the final approach was not as scary as I had envisaged. The camp wardens are incredibly friendly and helpful - as I was to discover on my arrival when my caravan took a nose dive on the grass because my jockey wheel wasn't secured tight enough when positioning it on the pitch. Lesson learned though! The site is incredibly clean, tidy and peaceful and the shower block is absolutely spotless. Location is great too - ideal for visiting the Peak District towns and villages. Top marks - and thanks again for your help - a very enjoyable weekend - just wish i could have stayed longer. I will definitely be back.
