At long last we were able to get away and thoroughly enjoyed our time on this lovely site. The Covid precautions worked vey well. Checking in was stress free and there were only a few occasions when I or my wife had to wait to get into the toilet block. The additional cleaning obviously put a great strain on the Wardens. They were on their own for the first few days of our stay, but they worked tirelessly to keep everything clean and safe. They were always cheerful despite the extra work and we have nothing but admiration and gratitude for their efforts. It was sad that the information room had to be stripped of removeable leaflets, maps walks etc. as this is usually our first port of call after pitching and settling in but some essentials were still pinned to the wall. Part of the precautions I assume. The site itself is small, quiet and well cared for. The view across the valley is breath taking. The area is very nice with lots of interesting places to visit. We will definitely be returning. Once again thanks to the Wardens for their efforts during these difficult times.
