We really enjoyed our stay here, the campsite is in a great location set in beautiful countryside. It doesn't have a playground that larger sites have but we were busy so never noticed the lack of one. The location is great for Nottingham, Derby and Matlock. All the grass pitches were closed due to been the end of the season and the poor weather but our first stay on hardstanding was great. The wardens were excellent, we suffered a nightmare when our car broke down but we were helped at every stage by the wardens, both when the car was returned to site after the initial breakdown and when the large recovery vehicle came to take the car and van back home at the end of the holiday. They really made what could've been a very stressful experience into a mild inconvenience. We look forward to visiting again next year.
