Lovely site, peaceful and hidden away. Great views over the Amber Valley @ the River Derwent. Site and facilities were beautifully kept and spotless, a credit to the wardens Really excellent place for visits to the surrounding area. Belper, Matlock, Matlock Bath, Crich & Carsington Water all worth a visit. Derby not far for a bit of shopping, the Cathedral quarter is full of eateries and the shopping centre has a big indoor market. We spent a week in April, and were spoiled by the weather, having a barbie on six of the seven nights. Will be going back. Missed one tick on the good for families as there is no playground on site, but with all those hills, places to go & fresh air there isn't much energy left to be spent on site
