We stayed on possibly the wettest week this Autumn but the site remained perfectly usable and the dogs could be walked without coming back muddy! Some of the grass pitches had been closed off but we chose a 'non serviced' standard pitch with was nice and level.  There are loads of water and service points, we had one within yards of us, very convenient. Some of the electricity bollard lights were very dull but this is only a minor gripe really as most caravans have super bright awning lights these days! All in all an excellent stay, despite the weather. Belper is an easy drive away and has pretty much every facility you could need. We visited Chesterfield, a bit of a run down place, but interesting and some good shops there. We also went to Derby, the signs want you to use the 'Park and Ride' which is stuck in the middle of a busy retail park, but the city centre car parks were easily accessible and not silly expensive.
