A Compact Site with Great Staff and Nice Facilities.

This is a nice little site, very well placed for access to the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site. The staff were wonderful; helpful and friendly. The facilities are fairly new and beautifully clean, and the site is well maintained throughout. But... This site is very small and the pitches are packed in; there's barely a square inch that isn't utilised and some of the pitches would not accommodate the advertised 8m units. The upshot is that you find yourself staring into your neighbour's unit whether you like it or not! Additionally, the approaching roads are pretty narrow in places, and one or two are downright unpassable due to local roadside parking. I would probably recommend the run in from Belper off the B6013 onto Crich Lane - whatever you do, don't attempt the run up Newbridge Rd from the A6! Take the opportunity to visit the heritage Mills, and wherever else you go, don't miss the Tram Museum!
