Tewkesbury Abbey stay & Peregrine falcons too
Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite was so easy to find, the site was immaculate, the shower and toliet facilities spotlessless clean. Wonderful to walk from the site up the high street and sample the many places to eat, relax. (recommend the chocholate shop!)
To see the Abbey in the evening from the site all lit up was wonderful, spending a couple of hours in the Abbey and the grounds was perfect, in addtion to see and hear the resident peregrine falcons soaring above the site was a wonderful addition to our stay.
We walked to Gupshill Manor for a meal, the pub is beautiful but the food was a little disapointing but lovely place to have a drink and take your dog too.
I cannot fault the site overall, only to say that it was very busy and for me unlike other club sites, space is limited as the pitches are very small and I felt there was not enough space between each pitch, also its very much felt like adult only site not really for families, though access to a large park just outside the gates accorss from the Abbey with a play area was an additional bonus for those with children.
