Upgrade disappointment

Visited Tewkesbury on the first weekend after the upgrade. Lots of moaning members who were obviously expecting more, especially about the new hardstandings. We were on one of the new "serviced" pitches. Unfortunately, the club have laid down the light chippings (Cotswold stone?) which leave much mess and dust to be walked in the caravans/motorhomes and awnings - not very practical. We all know that Tewkesbury has been subject to serious flooding in the past and the water taps on the individual service points are raised to about 5 feet - at this height, it's difficult for anyone who wants to fill a 5-litre container with water. The connecting fittings are made of brass, not of a universal design and I reckon that when we were there, less than 40% of users had bothered to connect their main water hoses. The so-called multi-purpose pitches created most moans. Members who want to erect awnings are supposed to park their caravan on the right-hand edge of the hardstanding and erect the awning on the adjoining grass. Unfortunately, many of these grassy areas have been left severely rutted by the contractors so that it was almost impossible to have a flat area for the awning carpet and in some cases steps couldn't be placed on a level surface - a safety hazard! The toilet block has some good features (although there were some flooded cubicles) but the water pressure isn't too good. Only one tumble dryer for the whole of this busy site is inadequate. The site was pretty full and I suspect that many members were there to simply test out the upgraded facilities. I've never been on a site where there was so much moaning and it spoilt our weekend. We shall not be visiting again soon.
