Having titled this transit camp I hold my hands up to being part of the problem. This is a perfect overnight stop on the way to the west country. Fab new amenities block. We have stayed here for an overnight stop previously on several occasions so the changes to the site were a surprise. massive vegetation clearance has taken place and that doesn't help the overall appearance. However, this needs to be done from time to time and re-landscaping wont grow overnight. Things like peg numbers and layout can be adjusted over time, not the end of the world. However, back to the transit camp feel. Inevitable in peak season. Right in the heart of the town and walking distance from shops pubs and restaurants, Tewkesbury deserves a longer look but I wouldn't want to stay long really due to the constant movement and, in high season, the site is very busy. Great overnight stop though and will be back next time we go to Cornwall :)
