Take a Chill Pill
Like the previous reviewer our stay was over a drizzly period and with this site being all grass, the wardens were getting stressed about motorhomes being on roadside pitches.
This is sort of understandable given that the site has a history of flooding and that units need to get away in such an eventuality. But to be getting hot under the collar because there might be the odd tyre mark on the grass was over the top.
Anyway, the location is great - just 10 minutes from the M5 and right next to the abbey (well worth a peek inside).
The facilities are what you would expect to find on a CC site and we took advantage of the Motorhome point which is handily right at the entrance.
Tewksbury itself is a charming market town but suffering as so many are from the effects of a superstore on the outskirts. 13 charity shops and a few empties but the Tudor book shop was fantastic - we bought some old maps of our home town there, 200 miles away!
We enjoyed a wonderful riverside walk, a superb curry at the Raj Shahi restaurant and a couple of drinks in local hostelries. What could be better?
