Ridiculous access to new toilet block !

We returned from this site on 1 Oct 2018 after a 4 night stay, our first stay since the refurbishment was completed, obviously the facilities are new so at the moment looking good. My main complaint is the poor planning of the access to the raised toilet block, having to walk the whole length of the building from either end is ridiculous, when a small set of stairs could be added in the centre on both sides, meaning that chemical toilets would not be spilling over the walkway as they are carried up stairs and along the decked walkway, Who planned this? Also at night, entry to the toilet block is by a relatively high up totally unlit digilock, very awkward to use if carrying a torch, toilet bag & towel let alone people who need walking sticks or frames. The only pathway to these facilities is the main road, so you do have to be very careful, especially as the speed limit of 5 mph is rarely adhered to. We stayed on a serviced pitch, this is our preference and it was fine, TV reception was good, I just wish the site, after all the money that was spent on it, was designed with thought for the members that use it. These issues need addressing soon.

I do not know why you complain about the new toilet block if you have a full served pitch. Then you do not need the toilet block!

Otherwise you take away the pitch from those who could have used it with their equipment.

Does a serviced pitch have its own toilet, shower and CDP? Of course not and not everyone wants to use their own facilities. Indeed, not every van has it’s own facilities. Serviced pitch or standard pitch makes no difference with regards to using the site showers and toilets.

The reviewer paid for a serviced pitch and is entitled to use it in whatever way suits them.

I don't follow the logic of your second sentence. Surely folk, if they wish to, are quite able to use the shower and toilet in their van without needing a serviced pitch?

I see from his own review that HG had a serviced pitch at Tewkesbury at one time. Some people say MHs have no need of a serviced pitch as they have on board tanks. I say if they pay for the pitch then, just like a caravanner, they can use it as they wish.
