Quick stop
A great place to stop when enroute home from Devon up the M5 as only a few miles from the motorway. Big site which was full when we arrived so our pitch and been preallocated. We tried out the multi surface pitch which was great, block paving plus a grass area. Bells from abbey every15 mins was very noticeable as we were in our campervan. Would be less of an issue for caravan and Motorhome owners. Large area to walk dog off site but nothing on site which means some owners were using grass beside pitches for early morning or late at night. Need to remember to take your fob to open pedestrian gate too before 7.30am. Would be good to have a small on site pit stop area for dogs like Cirencester has. Dogs welcome in the abbey which is only open 9 to 1 at present. We had a takeaway curry delivered to site which worked well. Menu in information room.
having bands in a bucket to use facilities works well, as unlike other sites people didn’t seem to forget to put them back . There were queues at peak times but nothing major.
