Our favourite stop over
We stay on the Tewkesbury club site quite often as it is an ideal stop over on our way to Devon and Cornwall. The wardens are all very friendly and helpful too. I must admit, the toilet blocks are only small and a bit dated but they are always clean and well maintained. There are no hardstandings on this site, but i imagine this and the fact that reception is up some stairs, is because of the flood risk.
Tewkesbury is a lovely little town, it has a beautiful Abbey that is well worth a visit. It has an interesting town centre with lots of history, and lots of cafe's/bistros and a Wetherspoons! It's proximity to the motorway is a bonus and on the way to the site, you pass Morrison's which has a petrol station with reasonably priced petrol and diesel, so you don't have to pay inflated motorway prices.
