Location great, but site awful.
Stay at this site for 2 nights after which we were glad to leave.
On arrival we were greeted at the entrance by an abrupt warden who immediately told us the rules of the site etc.
Then he confused us by saying we needed to use the motorhome service point to fill up, despite us having an Aqua roll in our storage area.
Went to motorhome service point which can accommodate 2 Motorhomes comfortably, to find some inconsiderate other person taking up the whole bay while filling up.
Whilst waiting for it to be come free, went to the toilet block where only 4 persons at any time are permitted entry. You have to take a rubber wrist band out of a liquid solution in a tub hanging outside before entering.
There was already a queue of 3 persons waiting to gain entry to shower, so if you really were desperate to use the toilet, it would have been dreadful.
Returned to motorhome service point and other user was just finishing filling up with water then moved off.
After filling up our water tank we drove around the site looking for a pitch. It was really busy and very little social distancing between pitches and no privacy at all.
We parked on the pitch and set up.
30 minutes later a warden was riding around the site and approached us, telling us we hadn’t parked between the markers correctly !
Was told we must park correctly. Surely a pitch is there to be used fully. Does it matter whether you’re on the left or right side of the pitch? We didn’t have an awning or other vehicle on the pitch?
We complied as directed nevertheless.
Too many others using the site which was fully booked. Toilet block should have been closed and all Caravaners / Motorhomes should be using their own facilities.
Abbey bells chiming on the hour every hour throughout the day & night, so no sleep had at all.
Only good thing about the site was the 5 minutes walk into Tewkesbury.
Won’t return again.
