Ideally situated on edge of town. The new facilities block is very nice, but no thought given to those less able in the planning. As said elsewhere the initial reaction is that most pitches are close to the toilet block, this is not the case and there are no short cuts or walkways, so be prepared for a long walk. This appears to be due to cramming in pitches around the central area and the landscape planting, which I am sure will look very nice in time, but for those less mobile does not allow easy access. We felt the site has now lost its character because of this and will probably not return. Would recommend the Italian restaurant it is excellent, great food well priced and the Berkeley Arms a proper pub no frills with excellent beer. The Abbey is well worth a visit and a walk around the town to see the many beautiful old buildings.
