One of the most impressively located sites on the network, Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite is only a short walk from the charming old town of Tewkesbury. In fact, it's almost in the shadow of the ancient Abbey from which it takes its name. With superb mature trees screening the campsite, you and your family will feel tucked away in a quiet dream of days gone by.
Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite makes it conveniently easy to explore the nostalgic delights of the old town on foot - there are many historic buildings, and interesting walks to be had, as well as some excellent museums. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can track down the odd bargain or two at the local market, or if history is more your bag you can walk the Battle Trail commemorating the famous Wars of the Roses (1471). The campsite also offers opportunity for the romantic - take a boat cruise on the peaceful river to experience the beautiful Avon landscapes. Other places not to be missed are the Cotswold villages of Broadway, Winchcombe and Moreton-in-Marsh. There are good transport links to Cheltenham, Gloucester and Worcester and a little further afield, the Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean offer great walking opportunities. The site also makes an ideal stopover if you're heading towards the south west of the country.
Please note: Situated near the River Severn and the River Swilgate tributary, this site is occasionally affected by flooding. To check river levels please see River Severn at Mythe Bridge or call the site team on 01684 294035.

Welcoming staff who were really helpful. Toilet and shower block kept very clean. Hook ups easy to deal with. Great location by the Abbey and within walking distance of the town. A well-maintained site and I would visit again.

Although this is a great site for exploring Tewkesbury, and the wardens are good, it is just too packed. We were on a grass pitch which was jammed in between a hard standing and the border of the site, with only 4-5 yards between us and the van in front.... Show more

The site is well-located, a stone's throw from Tewkesbury Abbey and a few minutes stroll into town with its array of very pretty half-timbered buildings. The site itself is very tidy with a beautiful display of flowers outside the reception building. The facilities were spotlessly clean. Well done to... Show more
