It's quite clearly noted in the Tewkesbury Site leaflet but we find (for some unknown reason) that these are rarely handed out at registration on any sites these days. We weren't given one when we visited Tewkesbury a couple of weeks ago.
However, if this gate closure deters others members from banging around whilst packing-up and revving up engines in order to depart before 7.30am, I'm in favour of other sites adopting the same guidelines.
I believe the Camping and Caravanning Club still have the similar rules of "no movement on site between 11.00pm and 07.00am"

Oh good job you're not a motorhomer 😲.
Yes since it isn't usual on C&MC sites I think it should be emphasised at booking in. Having belonged to the C&CC first and they have no movement 11pm to 7am and I assumed it was the same for this club, only learning it wasn't when we were awoken by folks packing up and leaving soon after 6am.

Yes, we have stayed on this great site and really enjoyed it. It was in a great location, so close to the centre and we were glad to see the barriers locked at 10.30 for security and peace and quiet reasons. I think there is a car park outside the site (as on most CMC sites) that you could use and just walk to your pitch and then move your car in the morning. We like the complete contrast of different sites and as such you are always going to get different set ups, just go along with it and enjoy where you are.
