We were recommended to this site and we had one of the best long weekends that we have had in years. We were lucky enough to get some nice sunny days during our stay, we enjoyed it so much we have cancelled our week in Rowntree Park in York to return to Tewkesbury Abbey again instead. The staff were extremely pleasant and most helpful, our pitch was lovely and peaceful and had the added attraction of the Abbey bells every quarter of an hour, (not too loud though, just enough) OK, the toilet/shower blocks weren't quite as up to date as they could be, but they are being demolished and new ones installed plus 50 or so hard standing pitches when they shut for 9 months in October. No big deal, they were always clean plus no mad rush to get in before they are closed for cleaning in the morning, 2-3.30 in the afternoon, what a great time to do them.
