Good for families

Excellent location. A great site for getting to know your neighbours (not in a good way)

The site is in a great location on the outskirts of Tewkesbury with a 5-10 minute walk into town for lunch or to do a bit of shopping. Tewkesbury Abbey makes a picturesque backdrop to the camp. I notice that some members did not take kindly to the Abbey bells ringing. I am reminded that that the Abbey was here first, probably by a thousand years or so! The site itself is well managed with excellent clean facilities and welcoming staff. My biggest concern is the number of pitches on the site with every square metre being used whether or not the area is suitable. This results in some of the pitches being very crowded with minimal privacy. It is worth noting that access to the toilet block is only from one side requiring quite a long diversion along the path. This just encourages users to take a short cut though someone else's pitch. I can't condone this but the path layout encourages people to do it. Overall, we really enjoyed our short break at Tewkesbury Abbey site and I am sure we will return one day.
