Cramped Site

We chose this site as a one night stop off on the way south to Cornwall. As such, it fit the bill. Close to the M5 and easy to get to. It is almost next to the Abbey and 5 mins walk into town (once you work out the quickest route!). The car park next to the CAMC site has a warning about seasonal flooding, which I presume may extend to the site itself. Caveat Emptor! Facilities are new, large and very clean. Grounds are lovely but there are limited cut-throughs for getting to the main toilet block & you end up looping on the site roads. The layout is tidy but (as others have said) don't expect much privacy. I think this is the most cramped site I have visited and you'll definitely feel close to one another. That said as a transit site, it works well.. drop the steadies and stroll off for a takeaway in town. I'll probably go back if I need a stop off but Cheddar is much more appealing in this respect.
