Confused

First stay here,7 nights, So lets get this out of the way, the staff are fantastic, can't fault toilet block, then the confusion sets in , we were on a grass pitch, (white peg) the site map tells you to put the off side rear of your van up to the peg , but as there are no marked lines to guide you, your van can be facing in many different directions , a good wind blowing spins the peg round , we were told after setting up, legs down , that we might have to turn the van 10ft to the right ,a second opinion was sought, a warden went off to fetch the (2nd opinion) while they were away i solved the (so called problem ) by spinning the marker peg 10 ft to the left , some funny looks from (second opinion) when he inspected but we got a pass, all happy now, now if you are on a hard standing you don't have a prob, unless you are on one of the new multi surface pitches ( block Paved) now your car/van / motorhome will sit lovely on these pitches but you can't put your awning on the block paving ? you have to site your van to one side and put your awning on the grass , defeating the hardstanding, ? yes /no ? as i say confused .. would we stay here again ? only as a stop over , not for any longer, shame really as Tewksbury is a great place.

A good point is being made here where sometimes on a grass pitch it is not always easy to see which way to site the 'van. A suggestion I would like to make is to place a black peg a foot in front of the white peg to show the line on where to site the 'van.
