We stayed at the Tewkesury Abbey site last week for 3 nights but had to leave a night early due to our motorhome being the target of a bottle throwing incident. Having informed the police of the attack we reported to the site management. It seems after much discussion that this was an ongoing problem with most of the perimeter sites as the eight foot fence is woefully inadequate to deter missiles being hurled at unsuspecting guests. We were very upset by this potentially dangerous event and the offer of moving us to another pitch was completely out of the question. Perhaps when someone or their precious dog is hit then something positive will be done to alleviate the situation. When you arrive and choose your pitch consider long and hard before you choose a perimeter spot.
