One of the most impressively located sites on the network, Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite is only a short walk from the charming old town of Tewkesbury. In fact, it's almost in the shadow of the ancient Abbey from which it takes its name. With superb mature trees screening the campsite, you and your family will feel tucked away in a quiet dream of days gone by.
Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite makes it conveniently easy to explore the nostalgic delights of the old town on foot - there are many historic buildings, and interesting walks to be had, as well as some excellent museums. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can track down the odd bargain or two at the local market, or if history is more your bag you can walk the Battle Trail commemorating the famous Wars of the Roses (1471). The campsite also offers opportunity for the romantic - take a boat cruise on the peaceful river to experience the beautiful Avon landscapes. Other places not to be missed are the Cotswold villages of Broadway, Winchcombe and Moreton-in-Marsh. There are good transport links to Cheltenham, Gloucester and Worcester and a little further afield, the Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean offer great walking opportunities. The site also makes an ideal stopover if you're heading towards the south west of the country.
Please note: Situated near the River Severn and the River Swilgate tributary, this site is occasionally affected by flooding. To check river levels please see River Severn at Mythe Bridge or call the site team on 01684 294035.

This site is a great site for exploring Tewkesbury and the surrounding area. Particularly good for walking beside the river and cycling. Can be a bit noisy if there's a match on at the adjacent rugby club. Other than that, really really good.

First impression was what a well run & clean site this was. A friendly helpful welcome from a nice man at reception. There werent many pitches to choose from because we were a little later than 1pm however there really wasn't a bad pitch. We stayed for 3 peaceful nights.... Show more

Location is perfect for walking/Dining out/shopping/Touring. Staff were really great went out of their way to help with Pegging issues. Always a hello or good morning. Facilities were always clean no matter time of day. Site was kept clean and tidy even through a busy bank holiday. Have already booked 2 weeks for next year.

Tewkesbury is a lovely site with great access to the town. Sounds of the bells from the Abbey are great to listen to. Access to Cheltenham and Gloucester and the Cotswolds. The new designer outlet is a good visit. My only gripe is the grass pitches all seem very close to each... Show more
