Worth a stay

Stayed for 4nights arrival on point and dealt with efficiently.Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities excellent and cleaned daily to a high standard. Would definitely recommend this site. It helped not having to be off the pitch until 12 pm.

Tewskesbury abbey what a gem

just spent 3 night here although the site was full plenty of room , site staff were a credit to the club facilities as always were 1st class. located right by the abbey ( a must see ) and plenty of shops and pubs close by and most are dog friendly. good walks nearby for dogs.

Another good overnight stay at Tewkesbury

We've used this site on a number of occasions finding it very convenient for us living in the South West. This time it appeared that there was an increase in 'Do not exercise your dog here' notices' - valid as there are good walks from site. However, could I make a request for a small area to be set aside for dogs on site for that vital last evening call? I'm not a particularly nervous person but am not wholly at ease at taking my dog for a last wee onto the water meadows after dark. If an area of grass could be set aside this would perhaps also mean fewer signs (never a good look) and less mess elsewhere. It is, after all, a very large site.

A most enjoyable stay!

Stayed for 3 nights and made the most of our visit specifically to see Tewksbury Abbey and the Tom Denny stained glass windows. Plenty to see and do in Tewksbury itself (a few minutes walk from the site) for a couple of days: the Abbey, Heritage Centre, Town and John Moore museums together with the medieval merchants house and old Baptist Chapel and Civil War battle history. Also enjoyed the self guided walks along the riverside and along the many alleyways in the town. Many cafés, pubs and restaurants - we particularly enjoyed Caffe e Vino near the site entrance. The site was quiet and well laid out; comfortable and with excellent facilities which the staff kept immaculately. Thank you - would definitely stay again!

Very clean friendly site

We recently stayed for 4 nights, the site is very convenient for visiting the local area with some interesting NationalTrust properties. We enjoyed walking into Tewkesbury in the evening to eat where there are some lovely restaurants and a cafe bar. The site was immaculate and the staff very friendly, hot showers and clean warm facilities. Definitely recommend if you want to be able to walk into a town but also access walks and places of interest by car.

Excellent staff. Excellent amenities

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent toilet and shower block which was cleaned in the afternoon so no problems waiting for block cleaning. Excellent location to explore Tewkesbury. Our campervan was on a grass pitch and the weekend was quite wet but we had no problem vacating as the staff brought mats for us to drive off. Would definitely return to the site.

Nice for a visit. But probably wouldn’t return.

Friendly wardens who keep the large and very clean shower block spotless. We were grateful that the closing times for the cleaning were in the afternoon instead of the morning. The wardens were also really vigilant in dealing with some irresponsible dog owners who were letting their dogs off the lead etc. Excellent location for visiting Tewkesbury. Can get very wet - we had a gravel pitch - was great. Would not recommend grass pitches. The site is usual CAMC standards although was disappointed that it’s basically surrounded by council flats and houses and a car park. The Abbey is well worth a visit. If you fancy a meal out or takeaway then Salerno Italian is fantastic. Tewkesbury itself is a mix of beautiful historic buildings and tatty looking houses. Not your ‘traditional’ Cotswold feel to it.

Can be very, very wet!

This is a unique site and does get flooded. Wellies are a must. My pitch was small as I had to stay half on the gravel to ensure I could move in the morning. I was only staying 1 night so this wasn't a problem. Be aware if the forecast is for rain! Excellent position for a stroll into Tewkesbury and lots of (muddy) walking nearby.

Great site

This site is a great size. Great mix of types of pitches. The hard standing are great, block paved and not stones. Location is great. Walking distance from park, restaurants, pubs and down. Supermarket about 20 minutes walk. Clean and well kept Site. Wardens very friendly. Stayed about 3 times now. If you do parkrun, the field opposite does it!

Superb location with excellent facilities

The site is a bit more car parky than screened off separate areas. The location could not be better for exploring Tewkesbury and the abbey. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were the best we have seen. Already booked to go again for the medieval festival.
