Second visit for nice area

On our list to visit some sights in the surrounding area we didn't get chance to see last year. Great wardens, very friendly on check in and odd occasion seen around the site. Nice and quiet at the beginning of October. Site tidy and facilities up to usual club standards. For the ones who need Wi-Fi to get through life, refer to the heat map on site page and it is very accurate. We stayed at the bottom of the steps leading to facility block (pitch 71), which was charted as a dead zone, so no surprise. We like the placement overlooking the tree line with close enough access to water point and shower block in preference to Wi-Fi. It's a great site and we had minimal levelling to do, as it looked most others did. Easy walk into town but in the rain soaked environment we were in be careful walking through the woods as slippy and uneven, its great in summer as last time we went. The town is nice to spend time walking round when not on house and garden visits. If visiting High Force waterfall, also visit the Low Force falls as we enjoyed these more. It's free but they ask for £2 donation in car park (worth more). A must visit in town on Horse Market, is Chocolate Fayre with attached coffee shop. A pot of tea for two with two delicious slices of cake followed by a self pick box of hand made chocolates really brightens up an inclement day.
