Sadly we only had one night whilst passing through.  Even though it was 6pm and the end of a long day for the wardens they were very friendly and welcoming.  Pitched away from the road we were not troubled by any road noise. The toilet block was exceptionally clean and pretty new. Cleaning times were staggered Not sure there is much for children to do.  Will return for a longer stay due to the friendly welcome and the fact we missed the fish van!   Barnards Castle looks a lovely market town and the drive to Middleton in Teesdale is pretty even in the rain!
