Great site and wardens, shame about some of the guests

What a fantastic site and set of wardens we have at Barnard Castle. Karen and Kevin, you are a credit to the club. We have visited Teesdale Barnard Castle a number of times and have always enjoyed staying at the site. On a more general note, one thing which we are beginning to notice more and more at the Caravan Club sites which we stay at is the lack of courtesy from a number of the guests staying at the sites. We have noticed other reviews for sites which make a similar comment about people walking across your gravel pitch and looking into the van while you are sitting quietly trying to relax and enjoy some private time. This happened recently when we stayed at Barnard Castle around Bank Holiday time on numerous occasions and not the same people each time - people found our van location to be a great shortcut route obviously. We love dogs although don't have one ourselves at the moment, but we even had people allowing their dogs to mess on our pitch (they did pick it up) but it just seems so rude and inconsiderate to us. This is not just a problem at Barnard Castle and has happened when we have stopped at other sites recently and we are wondering if this is just becoming the norm. Personally, my wife and I always make every effort to walk around pitches, grassed areas etc in order to respect other guests privacy, we just feel that it is courteous to do so. So Caravan Club, are there any rules around invading the privacy of other peoples pitches? And re: the dogs, come on dog owners, isn't that what the dog walks are for? Also, we had one person in a van near us playing music very load until 23.40 at night - again, not the Caravan Clubs fault but we come away in our van to get away to a bit of peace and quiet. Apart from these general negative comments, the site is great and we would recommend that anyone should stay there, either for a short stop over or for a longer break to explore the area.

Unfortunately for some people this is the way of the world,  no respect,  no discipline.  It is evident in all walks of life ie driving,  neighbourhood problems, dropping litter, anything involving a lot of the human race.  We also would not dream of encroaching on any occupied pitch, even our dogs are trained to wait until we get to the dog walk or outside the perimeter.  Sadly it will get worse as later generations have not had any boundaries to adhere to.  So glad we are in our 70s!!
