This is a site which we can't keep away from. We find it wonderful in every way - short walk to Barnard Castle (a lovely old town), great facilities, some lovely pitches, and among the most welcoming and friendly wardens to be found at any site. It is also perhaps the best site I know for road cycling (lots of quiet roads, starting at the site entrance, with plenty of ups and downs but nothing too steep). Also a brilliant site for offroad running - along either side of the Tees upstream and lots of other paths too. Having visited many times I have yet to explore all them.
